3g audio ringtones
Many people use Google to find 3g audio ringtones or free audio3g ringtones. What kind of ringtones are those 3gaudio ringtones then? I got curious and desided to find out. And of course I used Google too! First I had no luck. The searches for "3g audio ringtones" or "audio3g ringtones" gave just spam and bad results - no informaitive pages at all. I guess I have to figure out this by myself. If 3G stands for third-generation mobile telephone technology then 3G ringtones must have something to do with 3G - right?

Just surfed around the biggest ringtone web sites to check what ringtones or sounds are popular at the moment. On the top charts you can find ringtone themes like Pink Panther, Beverly Hills cop and Temrminator, but also good oldies like Tubular bells (Mike Oldfield). The charts for polyphonic, mono and musicsal MP3 ringtones vary somewhat. Top real sounds have voices of Yoda and Dirty Harry and sounds of old phones ringing.

First there were monophonic ringtones then came polyphonic ringtones (the midi format) and now we have ringtones that are the actual song. The format used for these better or high quality ringtones are mp3, AMR, WAV or AAC.
